Here is a Seiko Lord Matic, 5606-7010 originating in 1968 and remaining in production until the late 1970s, succeeded the Seiko Lord Marvel line. It brought forth a sophisticated automatic movement and elevated case design and finishing quality. Positioned as the mid-tier offering for the working middle class during that era, the Seiko LM made its debut in July 1968. The initial models didn't feature the LM logo on the dial, but from late 1969 onward, the LM models included the LM logo. It's important to note that the inclusion of the logo was not entirely consistent and did vary over the years. This model had four variations, including two different bracelets and two distinct handsets—one with inlay and one without. The LM's core movement is based on the 56 bases from King Seiko, which was known for its upmarket and sleek (thin) design for that period.
Seiko Automatic LM 5606-7000, a true masterpiece encased in a sleek Gold tone steel case and complemented by a beautiful brown leather strap, this watch boasts a day-date function seamlessly integrated at 3 o'clock, allowing you to effortlessly keep track of both the date and the day of the week. It's more than just a watch; it's your daily companion for impeccable timekeeping. The dial features elegant dauphine hands and indices, ensuring not only precise timekeeping but also an air of refined sophistication. However, what truly distinguishes the Seiko Automatic LM 5606-7000 is its captivating open through glass case back.
