Description:

This legendary timepiece is an exceptional, historic artifact from January 1970, as definitively proven by the serial number 016236 stamped across the stainless steel caseback. Originally engineered to celebrate the jet-age boom of global travel in the late 1960s and early 1970s, this World Time model is highly coveted by military and aviation enthusiasts. It houses the rugged Caliber 6117B automatic movement, a self-winding technical workhorse admired by horology purists for its durability, robustness, and integrated 24-hour GMT functionality designed to tracking global time zones seamlessly without battery reliance.

The case architecture is wonderfully robust, showcasing an unpolished, angular stainless steel cushion-style profile with its classic 4 o'clock recessed crown setup. The dial configuration is a gorgeous example of vintage cockpit styling, displaying a deep charcoal-grey face with a subtle vertical linen texture under the light. It features striking applied block indices, a bold red-tipped GMT hand, a date window at 3 o'clock, and the Suwa factory logo. Wrapped around the dial is the inner rotating 24-hour ring and the dual-toned world city indicator bezel, making it an incredibly functional and professional-grade vintage instrument.
