The Constellation line, introduced in 1952, is renowned for its luxury and precision, featuring a gold star on the dial and a medallion with an observatory and eight stars on the back, symbolizing Omega's achievements in chronometry. The Constellation Calendar came in 1958, offering various finishes. The line's design evolved in 1964 with the C-shaped Constellations, embracing the era's trend for larger watches, and has since grown in acceptance among collectors.
Here is for sale a nice Omega C Constellation 168.017 with Automatic Chronometer cal. 561 from 1966.
Case has a a C shape from and is made silver stainless steel, has 35 x 40.5 mm, thickness is 11 mm. Case is unpolished and has no dings or deep scratches. The case still has factory brushing and polished bevels.
Dial is White colored with silver black hour markers, has date window at 3 o’clock and applied Omega logo. Also it has Chronometer movement inscription, Constellation logo and Swiss Made on the bottom.
This watch looks brilliant due to its uncommon case shape and is already a classic amongst watch enthusiasts.
