The early Seiko divers, known as 62MAS, now fetch thousands. This 7002-7001 could be considered the great grandson of the 62MAS, but as so many more were sold and survive their values are far more attainable. This example has clearly been worn, and has the patina of age that appeals to many people, The bezel does have many minor marks, but we would rather see this than a shiny new part. The bezel turns in both directions with a decent click action. The 7002A movement starts with a quick shake, as these cannot be hand wound, and runs well. The quick set date and screw down crown both work smoothly. This is a classic of the future that can be worn and enjoyed without worry.
