The Seiko 6030-6000, also known as the King Seiko Vanac, is a rare and highly sought-after model. Developed by Daini Seikosha, it was the final King Seiko and marked the end of the line for high-end mechanical watches from the brand. The Vanac stood out for its superior design, aimed at the younger generation, and its advanced automatic movement, the cal. 5626, which featured day and date complications, bi-directional winding, hacking seconds, and a bilingual day wheel. Operating at 28,800 beats per hour, it was considered a 'Hi-Beat' movement, offering exceptional accuracy.
This model was JDM-only (Japanese Domestic Market) and a step above the standard King Seiko range, making it a collector’s treasure. Its rarity and cutting-edge design, along with its high level of craftsmanship, place it on par with Grand Seiko models from the 1970s. The Vanac is highly admired and can command a premium on the vintage market depending on its condition. The dial is a bit discolored from 6 o clock priced accordingly.
